Privacy Notice

Protecting your privacy is our priority at PLATINUM HOME MORTGAGE CORPORATION. This is our pledge to you and, as you will see by reading this statement of our privacy practices, we take our promise very seriously. Our pledge is that we will not disclose any nonpublic personal information to non-affiliated parties, except as permitted or required by law. Your privacy is our single highest priority and we want you to understand what information we collect and how we use it.

Collected Information

We may collect “nonpublic personal information” about you from the following sources:

Information we receive from you on applications or other loan and account forms; and/or
Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others; and/or
Information we receive from third parties such as credit bureaus; and/or
Information about the consumer’s transactions with nonaffiliated third parties; and/or
Information we receive from you when you open a checking/savings bank account.

Nonpublic personal information (NPI) is nonpublic information about you that we obtain in connection with providing a financial product or service to you. For example, nonpublic information includes information regarding your account balance, payment history, overdraft history, or unlisted phone number.

Opt Out means that you have chosen/elected for the mortgage company to NOT share you NPI with any entity outside of those required to transact your specific loan request, with our affiliates, or where permitted by law.

Possible Disclosed Information

A. If you use the Opt out Disclosure, we may not disclose the following kinds of nonpublic personal information about you unless it meets the requirements permitted by law to transact your loan request:

Information we receive from you on applications or the other loan account forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income
Information about your transactions with us or our family of companies (affiliates), such as your account balance or payment history
Information we receive from credit bureaus, such as you credit worthiness or credit history

B. We may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to our family of companies (affiliates). Affiliates are defined as companies related to us by common control or ownership.

You may sign and return an Opt out Disclosure, which would prohibit the sharing of your personal nonpublic information (other than those already permitted by law), with entities not related to and affiliated with PLATINUM HOME MORTGAGE CORPORATION. If you wish to Opt Out for sharing of your information you may advise us via letter at:

If you choose to prohibit the sharing of data under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, you may do so by sending us a letter or email stating this fact. The FCRA prohibits the sharing of credit report and income information except where necessary to transact the borrower's request.

C. Except as permitted or required by law, we will not disclose any non-public personal information about you to the following types of companies outside of the corporate family (non-affiliated third parties):

Financial service providers, such as mortgage bankers, securities broker-dealers and insurance agents
Non-financial companies, such as retailers, direct marketers and airlines
Others such as non-profit organizations

D. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the law additionally permits us to disclose the following information to affiliated companies with which we have joint marketing arrangements:

Information we receive from you on applications or other forms, such as your name, address, social security number, assets and income
Information about transactions with us or our corporate family
Information we receive from credit bureaus

E. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we also are permitted under law to share information about our experiences or transactions with you or your account (such as your account balance and your payment history with us) with our affiliates. We also may share additional information about you or your account, such as information we receive from you in applications and information from credit reporting agencies, with our corporate family.

F. Notwithstanding the foregoing, we are also permitted under law to disclose nonpublic personal information about you to companies outside of PLATINUM HOME MORTGAGE CORPORATION’S corporate family (nonaffiliated third parties) in certain other circumstances as prescribed by the Graham Leach Bliley Act and printed in regulatory guidelines of the FDIC Rules and Regulations Manual part 332. For example, we may disclose nonpublic personal information about you to third parties to assist us in servicing your loan or account with us, to government entities in response to subpoenas and to credit bureaus when requested.

G. When your loan is sold, we will continue to adhere to these guidelines in regard to your information.

Medical Information

Financial institutions recognize that, when consumers provide medical information for a specific purpose, they do not wish it to be used for other purposes, such as marketing, or in making a credit decision. If a customer provided personal medical information to a financial institution, the financial institution will NOT disclose the information.

Our Security Procedures

We also take steps to safeguard customer information. Access to your personal information with PLATINUM HOME MORTGAGE CORPORATION is only accessible by PLATINUM HOME MORTGAGE CORPORATION staff, except where otherwise permitted by law. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic personal information. Fair Credit Reporting Act

Under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) you have the right to opt out of sharing of specific information with our affiliates. The specific information you may opt out for is as follows:

OPT OUT DISCLOSURE
Important Notice

In order to assist our customers in meeting their financial goals, from time to time we extend special offers to our customers for discounts or product value features on financial services and products that may be of great benefit to you. These special offers are sometimes offered through one of our affiliated companies. The products may include mutual funds and insurance.

By signing this disclosure you are prohibiting us from sharing your information with non-affiliated third parties except where already permitted by law. This notice will remain in effect until you advise the bank otherwise and it applies to any and all accounts, inquiries, or loans made to you as an applicant or co-applicant.

Please date, sign, and return this form to the attention of PLATINUM HOME MORTGAGE CORPORATION, c/o The Compliance Department, 2200 Hicks Road, Suite 150, Rolling Meadows, IL 60008 if you choose to opt out and do not wish to receive information about these special opportunities. Also allow at least 20 business days from the date we receive your opt out disclosure to make the changes necessary to accomplish your request.

Under the FCRA we would be able to share all other types of information about you with our affiliates so that you may received special offers or information from our sister companies.
